From our farms to your markets — with integrity.
GAAPL connects the rich agricultural heartland of Kenya with global markets, delivering premium fresh produce, avocados, fruits, vegetables and herbs with full traceability and world-class quality standards.
Gem Africa Agroprocessing and Packaging Limited was built on a simple but powerful mantra — "Farmers First." The company owns and operates its own farms and extends its sourcing network to hundreds of contracted smallholder farmers across Kenya, offering technical support, better prices, and market access.
With the capacity to handle bulk avocado raw material at scale, our mission is to create long-term shared value through socially, environmentally, and economically responsible practices. We aim to be a leading producer of safe, high-quality products — connecting Kenya's agricultural wealth to the world.
"Our vision is to be a leading producer of safe, high-quality products — grown ethically, handled expertly, delivered reliably."
Every product is traceable from farm to pack-house, meeting the strictest international food safety and quality standards.
Kenya is among Africa's leading avocado exporters, and GAAPL is at the forefront — growing, processing, and exporting premium Hass and Fuerte avocados with full traceability from farm to pack-house. Built to handle bulk volumes, avocados are the heartbeat of our operation. We supply fresh avocados directly to importers, retailers, and food-service buyers across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia (China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, India & more) — and we also cold-press premium Avocado Oil in bulk and retail formats from the same high-grade fruit.
The world's most traded avocado variety. Dark, pebbly skin turns from green to near-black at ripeness — inside, a rich, nutty-buttery flesh with high oil content and outstanding shelf life. Ideal for long-haul export and supermarket retail.
A classic pear-shaped variety with glossy, smooth green skin and pale, creamy flesh. Mild and delicate in flavour with a lower oil content than Hass — beloved by European buyers for its large, consistent size and easy peelability.
Cold-pressed from premium Hass and Fuerte avocados at peak ripeness — retaining the fruit's natural colour, flavour, and full nutritional profile. High smoke point (250 °C) makes it ideal for high-heat cooking; rich in oleic acid for cosmetic and nutraceutical use.
Kenya's highland growing zones — particularly in Muranga, Kirinyaga, and Nakuru — offer a unique altitude-driven terroir (1,200–2,000 m above sea level) that produces avocados with exceptional dry matter content, superior oil levels, and a longer natural shelf life than fruit from many competing origins. Combined with Kenya's proximity to European markets via direct airfreight, Kenyan avocados deliver freshness that buyers consistently rank above alternatives.
Deep purple, intensely aromatic passion fruits harvested at peak ripeness. Exported fresh in export-grade cartons — a favourite in European and Middle Eastern markets.
Sweet, fleshy Kenyan mangoes — including Apple and Kent varieties — carefully harvested and graded for export. Known for exceptional sweetness and long shelf life.
A diverse range of fresh-cut and whole vegetables — broccoli, carrots, snow peas, baby corn, green beans, peas, and more — packed for retail and food service markets.
Fragrant, hand-harvested culinary herbs grown in our clean, pesticide-managed farms. Consistent freshness, vibrant colour, and strong shelf life — see all varieties below.
Delicate, feathery and intensely aromatic. Our dill is harvested in tight bunches at peak freshness, ideal for European markets and seafood cuisine.
Robust, needle-leafed sprigs with a deep piney fragrance. Bunched and packed to retain freshness across long-haul shipments.
Lush, broad-leafed sweet basil grown in open fields. Vibrant green, rich in essential oils — perfect for Italian cuisine and fresh pesto production.
Over 80% of our raw material is sourced from hundreds of contracted smallholder farmers, supplemented by our own farms and pre-qualified independent suppliers. Our technical team provides ongoing agronomic support to every contracted grower.
